Taller KEN is an architecture and interior design company based in Guatemala and New York. They have an amazing playful style that is recognized worldwide. Today, Modern Dining Tables blog will present you the outstanding restaurant design of the Majadas Once’s Saúl Bistro by Taller KEN. The eatery combines festive patterns, materials and textures to create a fresh tropical space. Enjoy and get inspired.
With an exterior consisting only of operable folding shutters, the restaurant is open and vulnerable to pedestrian walkways on three sides.
The façade shutters add a physical and visual partition for the restaurant and when the shutters rise, large potted plants line the invisible wall, adding to the tropical vibe.
The colourful, custom-made flooring consists of triangular concrete tiles that become a festive design note celebrated through the entire space. Rising from the vibrant floor are wooden dining room chairs with patterned upholstery mixed with white marble tabletops that bring a pop of contrast.
A portion of the seating area is vaulted inside a slightly more private windowed space, where Taller KEN created an undulating wood-block feature wall to add texture and dimension to the space.
Breezy, tropical and bright; Taller KEN undeniably crafted a refreshing atmosphere for Saúl Bistro. Take us to the tropics!
