Situated in Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech, the modern restaurant Ling Ling overlooks olive groves at the center of the resort. With a spacious outdoor terrace, lounge and bar, Ling Ling is open all year for cocktails and dinner.
This contemporary restaurant has discovered Hakkasan’s cuisine in a different way. Reinvented smaller plates are inspired by Hakkasan’s signature Cantonese dishes, perfect for sharing amongst friends, along with world-class cocktails.
Drawing inspiration from the popular Eastern concept of ‘Izakaya’, at Ling Ling, food is served to accompany the drinks, rather than the other way around. With drinking, dining and dancing at the forefront, Ling Ling bends the Hakkasan DNA to create a restaurant and bar experience that reflects and complements the beautiful Moroccan environment.
Designed by Parisian duo Gilles & Bossier and Firefly Lighting and located in the West wing of the lobby, Ling Ling moves from inside to out, with a spacious outdoor terrace. With sound design mastered and perfected by Pathaan, the resident Hakkasan DJ in London, an eclectic, high-energy soundtrack adds to the party vibe.
Chef Ho Chee Boon, Hakkasan and Ling Ling’s International Executive Chef, has a particular focus on creating new dishes using the finest local ingredients. In a career spanning over 26 years, Chef Ho has worked for some of the world’s most renowned Asian restaurants. He now divides his time between Las Vegas and San Francisco, where the surrounding regions offer some of the finest products available in the US, providing inspiration for the creative development of his culinary repertoire.
Chef Lau Su Kien, Ling Ling’s Executive Chef, has over 11 years’ experience in the restaurant industry. His career began as a commis cook at The Legend Hotel in Kuala Lumpur before carving out a career as a chef in the international cruise industry, gaining knowledge and experience in wok and barbecue techniques. His passion lies in developing dishes inspired by the diversity of Chinese cuisine.
